In her long-term project, Sandra Stein approaches the state of puberty with an extraordinary measure of empathy. In her photographs she creates a safe space for her young protagonists – girls who are often vulnerable and impressionable while they try to detach themselves from the expectations of the adult world. Her pictures capture these raw, candid moments: a mix of new beginning, rebellion and search for self-confidence.

This Sunday, photographers Katharina Poblotzki and Sandra Stein will discuss the parallels in their long-term projects Fever Sea and Keine Ahnung (No Idea), their artistic working process, and their approach to the themes of femininity and transformation.
The artist talk will be moderated by photographer and lecturer Maria Sturm and will take place as part of the ongoing group exhibition EVERY BODY HERE.
